Hello Metro Nashville Council member, 

I hope this email finds you well. The Southern Movement Committee is proposing the Varsity Spending Plan. I am asking you to support the Varsity Spending Plan by investing public dollars into community-based forms of safety. Please add the Varsity Spending Plan to the FY 2024-2025 Budget so our communities can be safer. 

The Varsity Spending Plan includes innovative programs that address the root causes of harm and gun violence in our community. The Varsity Spending Plan proposes a $10 million investment in Nashville's youth, families, and neighborhoods via the Office of Youth Safety, community centers, and robust school-based restorative justice programming. You can find more information about our spending plan proposal at oursmc.org/vsp. 

Given the pressing need for community safety, please add the Varsity Spending Plan to the FY 2024-2025 Budget. Your action can make a significant difference in our communities' efforts to address gun violence and build safe neighborhoods.
